Yoga as a way of life

One-month, 200 hours residential course in France

Before you can instruct others, you need to work on yourself. Our one-month Yoga Teacher Training Course is a residential course where you will experience and learn about the standards for leading a balanced life. Besides the course syllabus to become a Yoga Teacher, you will learn about a healthy lifestyle, cooking and eating consciously, controlling the mind and self-development.

For Whom?

The course is not only for those who wish to teach, but for everyone who wants to learn more about yoga or wants to start the path of transformation to a happy and healthy lifestyle.

The course is both for beginners as for experienced yoga practitioners and teachers. It is not required to have any previous Yoga experience to participate in this course. The education is enriching for everyone as it does not merely focus on Asana’s but deals with the fundamental background of traditional Indian Yoga philosophy. Before learning what to teach others you implement the ancient knowledge of Yoga on yourself.

The Yoga Institute

The Indian Classic Yoga, RYT 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course, is organized by the standards of The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, the oldest organized Yoga Centre in the world. The Yoga Institute is founded by Shri Yogendra who was taught Yoga by a Sadhu. Sadhus are the original practitioners of yoga. They devote their lives to attain enlightenment, but live solitary lives and keep their knowledge to themselves. Shri Yogendra is the first Yogi to start a family and make the wisdom of yoga public. For over 100 years the Yogendra family has transformed the lives of millions and now the teachings are available in Europe.

Centre Lothlorien

The one-month residential course takes place at Centre Lothlorien, an international guesthouse and course center located in the Northeast of France. It is situated in the countryside of the Champagne-Ardenne region in a beautiful valley, surrounded by forest. Centre Lothlorien covers approximately 14 hectares with hills, forest, gardens, fields, creeks and lakes. This energetic and relaxing place offers an ideal base to find peace and tranquility within.

Students will stay in a guestroom in the Chateau. Here you will live in a healthy and natural daily rhythm, together with the team and teachers of the center. The kitchen is vegetarian and you will experience Sattvic and Ayurvedic meals.

What I would say to someone who is interested in following the TTC is, ‘Do it’! It is not only a truly enriching experience, but one that has the potential to change your life. I absolutely loved the diversity of each day. The mix between theory, practice and different activities is fun and also keeps me alert and energized during the day. I also really, really enjoyed learning about the theory and background of Yoga, Indian philosophy and the Sanskrit language.

My perception of Yoga has changed, as it is more about all aspects of life then I thought. And also there is more behind the practical part which is only highlighted in Western Yoga. After following this course I will take better care of myself before others and tr to love myself more. Not to depend on others but myself and have more faith in the universe.
